Speaking of it all being over, I was into this about 15 years ago. Bought a bunch of good on the fleabay. A bunch of junk.
Finally having learned the difference, I try not to buy junk anymore.
I may be picky, but notsomuch. You really have to lower your standards to buy 95% of what I am seeing these days.

A friend of mine was in on EBay as it began. Was buying them all day long for a dollar each.
Still selling them off to this day and says it was the best investment he had ever made.
Stuff on there now is mostly trashed. Not even worth listing, half of it!
Forget investment, this stuff seems to have been shaved-out long ago. Be careful on the bay. Buy quality and condition!

Funny you mention that, seems a lot of great razors that I was seeing when I started, just don't see them anymore, and when you do, quality isn't what it was and the prices have gone really sky high, glad I'm not in the midst of anymore horrible RAD seizures...just not that much pickin's it seems lately in my opinion....

I agree with the last two posts. Since I started just a few years ago, I thought 200 for a wade and butcher for barbers use was absurd. Now you need 500+ to win one. Because of that anyone that lists one starts the auction at 700+ because they think it's solid gold. Your best bet is finding stuff that's good as soon as it's listed, by someone who doesn't know what they've got. Even that doesn't happen much anymore, but I've had a few ducks and large 8/8+ butchers for dirt cheap.
