Was cutting hide and trialing dyes on the weekend on some hide scraps.
Got some aniline dyes, as well as more solid pigments to work with.
Hard to cut a straight line without good grip in both hands though.
Maybe by the weekend I’ll have everything together..

I want one. A lathe. I must have a lathe. I need one. A lathe belongs in my shop and in my life.
They are a luxury, that’s spelled necessity once you have one.
And extremely satisfying to work on too.
And they keep costing you more and more when it comes to all the extra tools you can attach to them. Betting that can cost more than the lathe itself.
For certain Jerry.
One of my Sotheby’s wood turning tools cost more than my first used wood lathe did by itself.
Then the metal lathe stuff,,, it certainly does add up..;)
But, it is all relative in the grand scheme. I spend almost nothing on service calls for home repair, lol.

They want 25 cents for that washer!
Just a darn minute I will fire up my lathe!!!!!!!
And, along with the lathe, a "kultch" pile of materials in the cubic yard range.
