Here in NH...they have these “ Paint Bars” .....they serve wine and beer and snacks. They supply all the paint and canvas ,brushes. You just walk in..lay down some cash....and an Instructor is at the front of the room ,walking you step by step through that evenings painting. You can go on line and see what painting you like...and sign up for that class. The whole class does the same painting. That pic was my 3-4 th painting.....the more you do...the better you get.

Thanked: 56Here there is a place called "painting with a twist". You can send a photo and they will turn it into a paint by number. We hosted a couple of fundraisers there, but I never went.
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

After moving the plumbing in the wall and replacing the light fixtures and patching the wall back up. I got the new Vanity and top installed. Moved the lights again, then patched and finished the down stairs half bath. It was a lot of work but the end product turned out nice...
Ive cut the wall to pieces, patched and textured so much that Im getting good at it. Dont tell the wife. She will have me moving walls if she figures it out. It's just Sharpening, right?

When Tc rode from TN to Walla Walla 5 years a go he brought a Demon Bell with him.
This is found on many sites that sell the bells--
Legend has it that Evil Road sprirts have been latching on to motorcycles for as long as there have been bikes on the road. These Evil Road Spirits are responsible for mechanical problems and bad luck along a journey. Legend goes on to say that by attaching a small bell on your bike The Evil Road Spirits will become trapped inside the bell where the constant ringing drives them insane, making them lose their grip until they fall to the ground. (Ever wonder where pot holes come from?) Legend also has it that the mystery of the Motorcycle Bells (demon Bells, Spirit Bells) carries twice as much power when it is purchased by a friend or loved one and given as a gift.
I've also read that the bell MUST be taken off of a bike being sold and to help it hold it's powers that a friend or loved one must attach it. So my neighbor (Mike) who just purchased a '21 HD Sportster and I agreed to install each other's bells. We did so a few nights ago. We both used blue Loctite and torqued the nuts down pretty tight.
I had selected a bolt location pretty low on my 'new' bike and yesterday I went for a ride to my buddy Ski's home. I quickly heard noises when I leaned into a right hand turn and realized that it was the bell hitting the pavement. When I got home I decided to use my 18V Makita Impact Driver to remove the nut just to save time.
Oops--I guess between being made by the C. H. Ina company, not being designated for impact use and Mike really torquing that nut down; the quick connect for the driver to the socket is done--and NO the nut didn't come off---
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I just finished changing the looks of a few stairs going down to the family room.
Before was done years ago. They wefe not very solid as they would shift a bit. They never looked good to us. It took me a bit to fid a picture before. Just ignore the kitty.
Here they are after...
I stripped everything off down to rough cut wood and recovered all with 1/4" board and covered the steps with a precut step cover. Turned out niceIt's just Sharpening, right?

Dammit. Now the wife is talking about doing a full flight of stairs the same way because it looks so nice. You know how much of a pain it was to cut the boards to cover the sides of the stairs? I dont know what you call that part but with all the notches needed to be cut perfect it really took some time and measuring and testing over and over. And this was just 4 stairs.
