I made a pair of leather turnshoes for a Halloween costume, but they are actually comfy to wear around so I think I will wear them more than just Halloween. I used thin nubuck lambskin for the interior and thin goatskin for exterior and cowhide for the sole. The pattern I made them from called for all cowhide, but I just used what I had. The lambskin is quite soft, but the fact that I glued the lamb and goat together made them far less breathable so if its really hot and humid out my feet sweat. One the plus side the glue added a water resistant layer. Using the thin leather made the uppers really flexible so they almost feel like wearing socks. I also decided to make a roll for some leather working tools since I had some really bad leather and didn't want to just throw it out. The roll I will eventually redo with some better leather, but for now it will work instead of having tools scattered everywhere.
