Or if you have something that will work as a container, I bet you can get the hoses and gauge at harbor freight or somewhere similar.

The original clear 'Plastic' lid that came with mine started to show 'crazing' so I contacted the seller and they said they would ship a replacement. Well time went by but the crazing didn't get any worse and finally a package from China showed up and they had sent not only a new lid, but it had the gauge and valves also.

I sent the replacement to a friend since the old lid was holding up. I do hope he's found some use for it.

Anyway the lids came with a silicone gasket and the gasket started falling out. So I'd use a bit of electrical tape to hold it in place.

Finally I got tired of that as it would be hard to get a good seal. So I went to my local glass shop and had them cut me out a round of clear 1/2" thick Polycarbonate then I drilled and tapped holes for the gauge and valves, and bought a sheet of 1/8" black rubber, cut a gasket out then used contact cement to secure it and it works like a charm!

Basically the 'Pot' is just that it's a Stainless Steel Pot without any handles.

If you have a SS pot with a nice smooth flat and dent free rim then you could just have the Polycarbonate cut, drill for the attachments make a seal and be good to go.

After a year of usage the polycarbonate still doesn't have any sign of crazing--------

How the black rubber would stand up to chemicals like Cactus Juice I have no idea.

I have hoses and gauges since i use my pump to vacuum down an AC system before refilling. I know it will pull a vacuum but i have no idea on what amount of vacuum. Guess i need to find a container.

I would think that once you got a container and have fittings on it to allow the pump to pull the air, your gauges should show the amount of draw. Just be sure you have a fitting to shut the pull to the pump off AND a fitting to release the vacuum.

As I said, it's easy to make a lid--and a pot with no dents etc on the lip should work as your container.

I once saw an add for transparent duct tape to make professional looking repairs. I tried to get my manager to buy some but he didn't agree........
