I'm in treatment and doing well
I was battling addiction off and on for most of my life. I said I'd never do certain things, yet I did them eventually. It ended with a needle in my arm and a bottle down my throat. Enough was enough. I completed a 31 day program a week ago, and now I'm at an SLE in Santa Rosa.
I'm taking an emc course in June, and have a ride along with the Santa Rosa fire department at station 1 this Saturday. I'm not waiting till June to get the ball rolling. My eyes started welling up when they called me back.
Sorry for disappearing from the forum. It was my fault. I've got more direction and focus now than I've ever had!
oh yeah, my dreadlocks and beard are gone, but I still have some facial stubble 🤕 I know what I need...

Thanked: 4828There are a few of us around here that are friends of Bill W. Addiction are like many things in life, no walk of life is immune. Be well. If you want any deeper views PM me.

It's good to hear you are okay and working through it. Wish you the best. You have many friends here willing to help and probably a few with some insight into your situation.

I'm no stranger to your story myself. Hang in there and it gets better day by day. Good for you for choosing life. Now, where the hell did I put my razor?

Go to 90 meetings in 90 days, stay away from old people places and things, and don't pick up the first one.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
