    Default Don't you just hate...

Don't you just hate pacing at the door waiting for the mail to deliver your new toy? After watching the tracking data on the package and seeing that it's "Out for Delivery" the anticipation starts to build and drive me nuts. Every wind gust or passerby peaks my imagination and causes me to instantly turn and look at the door. Only to be immediately followed by the disappointment that it's not the delivery man at my door...

Anyone else go through this range of emotional excitement or is it just me?

It depends on the toy. But anything shave related, I'm chewing on my arm in anticipation. What's worse is that all packages are delivered to the leasing office at ~11am. Sometimes I don't have time at lunch to go pick it up and am stuck at work thinking about my new toy for hours and hours!

Not only do I suffer from OCD, I also suffer from RAD, and the worst of them all is my ASRAD (Anything Shave Related Acquisition Disorder).

I think straight shaving is a wonderful hobby and a terrible sickness. Was just thinking today of buying a 7 day set and a new strop. I had to talk myself off the ledge, since I already have too many projects languishing on my shelf at the moment...

It's here, I'm all better now.

I wonder what else I need buy now that I didn't know I needed and couldn't live without.

Off to go get my next fix.

Glad to see it arrived. It's way worse when they don't send it at all!

I am the same way, but what is worse is watching the tracking info and seeing your package held up for several days locally...I once had a package make it across the country in 3 days, then be stuck at the distribution center, 30 miles away, for two weeks.

A couple years ago I ordered a couple of SATA cables from California, followed the tracking number all the way to Kentucky and it disappeared, showed up here 6 months later..........I believe the Pony Express was faster than that!!

I have a similar emotional excitement when I see that my tracked package has left customs. However, that excitement then turns to anger and disbelief when the package gets stuck in the system for 4 or 5 days before the "delivery to the Post Office" step is then captured on the system. Excitement then once again takes over.
