Here we go with the Govt haters.
The fact is the EPA does a great job but they are set up to deal with big problems and big outfits. They are not set up to deal with private citizens and small time operators and sometimes they just get it wrong.
So of course the Govt haters love these stories so they can blow it out of proportion and make it seem like the EPA is out of control and out to deprive everyone of their civil rights.
If the EPA was gone tomorrow everyone would suffer.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I don't know if you are aware that there will be a referendum in Britain in June as to whether we should exit the European Union. It's just this kind of government by unelected officials that is getting people down - along with the economic mis-management and gravy train that Brussels has become.
On a recent visit to Britain, Mr Obama made a speech in which he encouraged the population to stay in the EU and some people have applauded that saying that it responds to the USA - in other words we are part of a United States of Europe. The reality is a little different in that the real analogy is to a pan-American organisation whereby unelected officials from say Mexico, Guatamala and Colombia get to legislate how much the USA should pay into the central budget. Oh, and everyone in the club enjoys unrestricted free access to move from country to country claiming the same benefits regardless of whether they work or have paid into the scheme. And don't forget that healthcare is free at the point of delivery - which is pretty good encouragement to move and bring your parents and grandparents afterwards.
What the USA as a country has experienced over the last 8 years has been going on in Britain since the 1970s.My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Thanked: 369Who hates government? I love government. Imagine where we'd be without government. But government is like a good guard dog. I like guard dogs. Especially when they do what they were intended for, but not when they go around biting the neighbors and sh!tting in my house.

Being vigilant with government to make sure it does it's job and nothing more is a good thing however many truly hate it and would blow it up if they had the chance.

The Second Coming
By William Butler Yeats
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 369America set itself apart from Europe in 1776, 240 years ago, way ahead of it's time. Since about the early mid 20th century, America, under the influence of progressive era ideology, has been moving backwards (ironic, eh?) towards being more and more like Europe and has been afflicted more and more by the types of problems experienced by European countries. But Americans seem to like this change as they keep voting for representatives who promote and maintain progressive policy. Go figure.
