Just clarifying a point re the difference between weather and climate.
The reason I am not interested in engaging here in a debate on the wider issue is that it will inevitably become derailed and mud-slinging will ensue. And as with virtually every 'debate' over climate change it will become an ideological fight rather than an evidence-based debate. That helps nothing.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Before this gets too complicated...I simply wanted to post an article that shows that, on a global level, July was the hottest month on record. Whether you or I believe climate change is caused by humans is irrelevant. We will probably never know for absolutely sure. I will leave that up to the scientists and politicians to debate. But it is getting hotter and I can see the effects even in my own local environment.

Whether your report of hottest summer is true, I don't give a crap! As you say we'll probably never know absolutely. Okay, stop trying to find ways to tax the hell out of the rest of us and institute draconian totalitarian measures to regulate people's lives. I've seen reports this is a cool year with anticipated monster winter. (Bunch of watermelons!)
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.
