I've been through 3 surgeries (not on my spine, but I've been lucky in my accidents) and I understand the pain. It sucks, but we're here for ya. If you are running out of stuff to polish, throw some scales on or hone, let me know.
One of my friends has been through 3 surgeries on his back so far and he's going back again for a fourth surgery on the 6th. It sucks, but I figure they'll either fix it or keep working on him till they name a hospital wing after him!

Thanked: 39I wish they could go in an clip a few nerves to help out. I'm having to go light on the pills today so I'll last till Tuesday. It took a couple of extra pills to "break thru" the pain I was in. I am hoping he will take some x-rays and see if anything has moved or cracked. Right now it feels like something has cracked in my lower back, I have to take 1 1/2 pills (Norco 10's) if I want to be totally pain free, but I only do this at night so I can sleep. I have 2 steel rods in my back. Look up "Harrington Rods" I have a "full set" top of the shoulders to the small of my back.

I have a WA State L&I Cat. 2 bad back and have had five surgeries for repairs and reconstruction on shoulders and knee. The bone work is #10 stuff as many of us know. I've gotten down to "I can do this for one minute too I can do this for 15 seconds."
I refuse to give in.
Hang in there THORandODIN. You can do it!

Thanked: 39I have a double curve scoliosis, basically my spine was collapsing in on itself, and the doctor said I would die in a wheel chair with my right shoulder in my ear, and kissing my left hip in about 6 years or so. This was in 1992, I didn't start hurting until about 4 years ago, then its just gotten gradually worse. 2 days without painkillers and I'm screaming on the floor. NOT fun.

My son has scoliosis and his spine looked like the letter "C". He had surgery when he was around 8 years old and had the metal bars from one end to the other. He's 36 now and has no pain and a little deformation. Unfortunately the surgeon destroyed a main nerve and one of his legs is basically useless.
