Thanked: 39Need help encouregment.
I need some mental help guys, my pain patches ran out and Its tough, they only last three days but sometimes come off or last only 1 1/2 days (You can see the medicine in one and you can be changing places and see that its out. 3 days ago I had my next to last patch have the end of tape swap over and cover it as I was putting it on now I'm 6 days out, the only thing that will save me is that my urologist today let get a script of loratabs to tide me over Thank the gods!! The gun was looking good. but my cats and my razors helped me through Beveled and sharpened 4 today as something to get me through. Now where's a couple of W.H. Morley boxes for sell.

You just take one day at a time, no pain is worth looking at a gun, Tc

You are lucky if you can strop and use a SR when on pain meds.
I learned the hard way not to strop when on the happy pills.
Hope things work out for you.If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 39I think I'll be O.k. I don't get loopy like some folks do on them they just take the pain away and let me live a somewhat normal life, pain was around a 10 this morning I was almost crying. I had convulsions the past 2 nights because of how much pain I was in. The lower back and top of it are the worst. I almost kissed the doctor went he said sure I'll write a short script for you. I he knows the pain doctor I'm seeing and didn't seem to care for him. Oh, well. time to hit E-bay and see if I can find a box or two.

Having had a few bouts of Kidney Stones I know what a "10" pain is. I used to pace the floor and bang my head against the wall and that was after taking a couple percocets.
If you have bad pain like that you don't suffer you go to the Emergency Room plain and simple.
Hope you're doing better. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Understand... Worked with a guy who's wife came home to find him passed out on the floor. She couldn't bring him around, thought it was a heart attack, so called an ambulance. Still unconscious when he arrived at the hospital. Not a coronary, but a kidney stone !!

I don't know you, but I really hate to hear of people suffering, I have had times in my life where the pain has been up around 10 too so I have sympathy for you. I am glad that you have found some help and that you can take some solace in the things you love.
Hang in there.

Thanked: 39I've been a few days without my patches before but the pain never was this bad, I am going to get him to take some x-rays this time to see if anything has moved, etc. once I ran out the pain really climbed up fast and stayed there. I'm doing better this morning ate a good breakfast and am somewhat normal, back is really stiff but it don't hurt very much, I have a high metabolism so a 8 hour pill will only last 6 oh, well. got outbid on a Landers Frary & Clark straight razor this morning. darn.

I have passed several kidney stones. Last October had another bout.....except it was bigger and got stuck half way. Doctor was talking surgery but there was a chance it would pass on its own. I waited until January before it was too much. Glad I got the surgery. 2 days later, the pain was back! The doctor said it was just spasms from the surgery. After 10 hours of agony I finally got some sleep. The next morning another stone came out! Not fun, I sympathize with you. If your doctor isn't doing anything about it maybe it is time to get a second opinion. Good luck and hang in there.
