If I use nothing, I get frizzy, puffy hair. I use Clubman tonic and Groom & Clean regularly. Both have light holds and neither is greasy, but the Clubman tonic is particularly light.

What I'm currently using is called "Justrite". I picked it up when the Barbers Supply didn't have my favorite lol. Unfortunately I don't remember what the name of that one was, just the wonderful aroma. (The store allows people to take a whiff of their products fortunately).

Thanked: 1Guys, thanks for all the good info. My barber is starting to sell some stuff so I think I'll see if he has either the Clubman or Lucky Tiger next time I go up.

I've got a bottle of Vitalis - I usually use it for a week or two after I get a haircut - when my hair is short, it tends to get 'flayaway' after a shower/shampoo. I always apply it with wet hands on wet hair - applying it on dry hair just hasn't ever worked out for me.

At the risk of showing my age, or lack thereof wtf is hair tonic and what does it do...sounds like some snake oil salesman's product from the late 1800's
