Size: 58.8 KB Just 10 more day till my ride to Daytona. Looks like 10 of us so far going and 16 coming back. We met with some in ST. Augustine and Jacksonville. This could turn out to be quite interesting. I've always had fun with the trip to daytona but never with this many folks.

Have fun on your trip. I have always preferred to ride alone.

I ride solo half the time, the other half is when I go places to visit other riders, and my occasional ride with the club. Solo riding is a Zen of sorts. Guess, you and a bike and the road. Tc

From what i see on the weather channel Daytona may be over before it starts. The himacane may stop the rally. If that happens panama city is the next week.

I've never been to Daytona's Bike Week. Been to Sturgis 5 times and 4 Corners once (rode...not trailered!)

I did, very UNEXPECTEDLY, go to Black Bike Week, in N.C. Once....ONCE!!! Unbeknownce to us (wife and 2 sons), we planned our famliy vacation ine year at the exact time as Black Bike Week. Yes, it really is called 'Black' bike week. After some research, it was started after the 'people of color' where, to say the least, not too warmly welcomed at Dayton's (spring) bike week, as well as Carolina's Harley Dealer's rally. Soooo, they started their own. Which, by the way, is the week after the spring Daytona bike week...only in Mertle Beach.

    Live and learn!!

Same here. Riding alone is fun and can be relaxing. Riding with a hundred others you have more visibility but they can "encourage" me to ride like a crazy person. "If you ain't living on the edge you're taking up too much space."

I would have to guess I've rode close to 800,000 mikes on a bike over the last 45 years, there have been years that I put on over 30,000, and most years being at least 15k, I haven't trailered yet. Even my last trip was 5600 all on the seat( some upside down in the ditch ). But it's not in a trailer. Ride hard Steel. Tc
