I play a Vincent Bach Stradivarius trombone made in the '60s. It's serial number is 9135.

    Bach,

Very cool. I miss my King 3B with F attachment. Haven't played in years.

Well my name by birth is Kelly, however I never go by that name. I have ran out of user name ideas for log in's and forums so I thought since no one even knows me as "kelly" it's as good a net-name as any...

You do have the chance to change that username here unlike most places I've seen. Just use your user control panel to change it.

Bach - very cool. I play on a Bach Strad. trumpet for classical playing. Believe it or not, my father picked it up at a yard sale for $20! For jazz it's a Schilke X4 large bore. I was a professional musician for 8+ years until I got married - then it was too much travelling to raise a family and switched to the IT field.

Twheels comes from my old soccer nickname, wheels. It's usually taken online so I add the "t".

After several months of in and out of hospital stays, I got better. As part of my recooperation process, I bought a bicycle and just began tooling around to get my strength and wind back. Later, as a sports reporter for a small newspaper, I cycled to all of my assignments (as long as they were within ten to twenty miles). In fact I was spending so much time on my bicycle that people began asking me when my Drunk Driving charge was going to expire. They didn't believe that I was cycling volountarily. As the winter approached, I noticed that I had covered about 1500 miles cycling to and from events. That gave me the idea to cycle across the country.

So at 41, I packed up my Trek 830 with my sleeping bag, tent and some extra clothes and took to the road. I cycled from Connecticut to New Orleans to visit a friend. Spent a week with him and his family then decided to cycle out to California to visit my kids.

All in all, I spent about 5 months on the road before I finally got the urge to head on home. Two years later, I cycled from Connecticut to Key West. Hence the nick-name Trekker 2017.

Naturally, I shaved with my straight razors, which just added to the image of a half crazy person cycling across the country and shaving with a straight. No one bothered me and a lot of people left me alone or gave me a wide berth.
That has got to be one of the coolest stories I have ever heard. Congratulations on your recovery and achievement.

I actually inhereted mine from my wife. She had the name established before we got together. When we did get married I had never had a computer and she wasn't using this name so I took it. It did kind of fit me though since I am from Native American ancestry and I do try to carry some of those beliefs and ideals in my life.

    Default Mine's pretty simple...

    str8rzrshvr:

str8 = straight; rzr = razor; shvr = shaver. (for those who haven't figured it out...LOL)

I guess at the time I couldn't think of anything quicker or something a little more sophisticated than that. But, my friends call me....

    firstfloorfront

I live in on the first floor of a small block of flats. Not at the front specifically because our flat opens onto three sides of the building.
