I didn't start using online forums until I started playing an MMORPG called Dofus five years ago. My character's name was KingofCan-KaNoRey (poetic license from Stephen King), everyone just called me King and my character was a Sram. Hard to explain that, but kingsram is what I use.

Thanked: 101My first name is Evan and I am Irish hence the "MC". 45? A fine combat caliber for the past 100 years! Actually yesterday was the day the U.S. Govt. adopted the 1911 for service as official sidearm 100 years ago!

Talk about thread resurrection. This is nuts! But I saw it on the list of top threads, so I read through most of it then scanned the rest.
I usually go by Blue50F-1 and some guys just call me Blue (I have blue eyes, so I guess it works). But, when I signed on to SRP it didn't like my screen name, so I had to come up with something different. At 6'4" 250 I was called Big Hoss or Big Jim by my teammates on my college football team...and sometimes by others. Since I was inheriting razors from my grandpa Jim (whom I'm named after) and my great grandpa Jim, and great great grandpa H. Jim I figured BigJim was the way to go. (they all went by Jim, I go by James most of the time for the sake of confusion at family get-togethers)
If you've run across Blue50F-1 on Ford Trucks forums or e-bay that's me. A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away (read "high school") I was known online as Prophet Zion: but that's a LONG story.

life is full of irony! I currently sport full beard and I subscribe to a shaving forum....Go figure!
sometimes me
former me
most of the time me
This all plays into my hobby of American Civil War History Living Historian or reenactor. All sorts of 19th century facial hair style to play with!

Thanked: 114Great old thread.
My choice of username is pretty straightforward. Simply put, I like to make stuff.
I don’t have a particular talent for making anything, mind you, as most of the items I produce usually end up more expensive and lower quality than what I could have purchased (which always makes my wife roll her eyes), but I simply get a kick out of trying to make things with my own hands. Always have. I drive a desk for a living and I guess making stuff with my hands satisfies an itch that doesn’t get scratched during my normal routine (there must be a repressed mechanic, carpenter, or engineer hidden somewhere inside of me). If I’m being honest with myself, however, I start most projects for the mere prospect (or excuse) to buy more tools – acquiring tools being another AD of mine.
One of my other hobbies is backpacking and a large portion of my equipment is homemade. I make my own tents, sleeping bags, stoves, clothing items, and I even attempted to forge my own camping knives (yes, I have a blacksmithing forge in my garage, homemade of course). Maybe one day I will be adventurous enough to attempt forging a razor. Wow, imagine the collection of tools I can “justify” with that project!

Thanked: 993A while back, before I became a teacher, I was a Chef. I was 25 when this story happened. So, I started working at this new restaurant, and my routine was to be at work by about 2pm, but I'd spend about 2 hrs training in the gym before hand. Anyway, in those days I was in pretty good shape, and it was also around the time when Gladiator was popular. I was in the co-ed changeroom one day at work, putting on my chef coat, and one of the female servers walked in and casually said "Hello Maximus"; learned later that that was what the female staff had been calling me for a while. When I questioned her, she answered "Well....you look like a Gladiator". The name stayed, but got shortened to Maxi by the boys. Haven't cooked in a couple years, but all my old kitchen friends still call me Maxi.

Thanked: 9MT are my initials. I have used "MT4" before, but just don't remember why the "4". Not very interesting, is it?
Rgds.
