Go Nuts !
A handful of nuts a day keeps the doctor away: study - NY Daily News
I've been doing a handful of walnuts in a bowl of oatmeal, along with blueberries, a banana, and milk daily for years. Try it, you'll like it ..........Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 4828I do like some tree nuts in my diet. I have been boycotting the almonds though. It just is not wise use of water to grow almonds in the desert, and that is where so many of them are produced. The rest are fair game for now, and aside from health benefits they are delicious. I really like pecans and it is easier to find good pecans than good walnuts around here.

I'm a big fan of pecans, cashews and pistachios. The grocery store I go to has a nice selections of unsalted nuts and I usually pick up a pack to snack on. I started eating them without nuts to try to be a bit healthier, I've started to prefer the tasted over the salted variety. I would eat nothing else if I could.

Thanked: 101I like pistachios and the Soy Wasabi almonds. I have been on a cheese, garlic and olive kick lately. Can't get enough of it. Maybe my body is in need of it some way?

Local farm store has large bags of nuts and various trail mixes, and candies. Half pound or up to two pounds, way cheaper than anywhere else. 5$ to 14$. I love the mixed nuts and cashews.

When I was on my 5K ride this last summer that included riding through California I saw many, many protest signs in CA that I believe were directed to the government deciding that the farmers were to have their access to water restricted. However I'm not knowledgeable about the subject.
