I have a CVA Hawken .50 Caliber caplock. It is fun and I use Goex real black.

Love the smell of black powder in the morning! Or anytime of day! I use Pyrodex powder and round ball in my two:

1.) Thompson Center 50 cal. Renegade I built 25 years ago from a kit and can kill a bulls-eye at 120 yards with it.
2.) CVA 50 cal. Kentucky pistol with a hair trigger..........just ask my chin.

I use to have a Renagade, sold it to get a custom made one. I have loaded my revolver and cleaned my .40 cal. rifle, with the .50 cal. next, I haven't shot them in a year, too much going on in life.
