Thanked: 1184Being a 2 legged dear hunter I have a nice one in my sights. Starting out the day tracking and scoping hoping to take the hunt well into the night. Just hoping I don't end up in a bar crying in my Jack & beer LOL :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Spent the morning outside my house, manning a firepit, giving away candy to singing children and liquor to their parents. Children going door to door for candy and wishing people happy new year is a tradition here. I added to it by also giving the parent liquor and a fire to warm themselves.
We had a good run. A lot of it's gone. Next year I am going to put extra signposts with christmas lights at the street corner to invite more people. my neighbor is going to put up a table and give away ales. the old people in the street liked my initiative a lot and after the singing was done we kept drinking. good times.
Tonight we're going to grill our food at the table in little pieces and eat. Just us, the kids and my wife's friend. this time.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

And a happy new year to you (all) as well.
We're probably going to be watching a series called "Ripper Street" tonight. Got it from the library. Perhaps a few sips of Baileys to go along.
And once we're tired, we're going to bed.
Easy cheesy lemon squeezy.
Enjoy your festivities.

I'm going to do the most boring thing imaginable in a moment. Open a new bank account at a credit union, better banking to start off the new year and new job. Going to get my finances in order to hopefully buy a house in the next year.
Tonight will probably just be making my Chicken Korma and sipping some 12 year Tomatin, I'll probably watch the countdown in NYC so that I can get to bed early. It's my family's tradition lol!
