I put the plug in the jug in May of 2009 this time, and so far so good. When I was younger it occurred to me that waking up to a new year with a hangover wasn't an ideal way to start on the right foot. So be safe, and don't overdo the festivities please ........

Congrats on nearly 8 years dry!

I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that I don't really get hangovers. At least not when I'm able to select and moderate my own poison. Hangin' out with those bad influences can bring on some pain though...I try to avoid that much at least!

That said, my plans changed a bit. Just me and a bottle of The Knot (Irish honey Whiskey) to ring in the new year. Feeling a little under the weather still, so I made the decision to keep to myself for the evening rather than risk spreading this awful cold.
