the vid on how the zip tie works isnt working right! is it used just like a thumb screw? Also that vid is insane, he must have practiced those forms for years on end to have such smooth actions and muscle memory to dispatch the pain so effortlessly.

Here is another Silat vid.
This one seems to be all monkey style stuff.
Pay particular attention to the take down at 50 seconds.
I have used that one in freestyle sparring with amazing success.
