A Nice Big Automatic Knife.
Since Mr. LX got so many good suggestions I thought I would ask for myself.
I'm lookin for a LARGE automatic knife, preferably a stiletto.
Blade size would be 5" or better and although I like the Italian designs I am open to most styles.
I would really prefer OTF (out the front) in single action.
Price ??? $
would like to stay below $200 if possible.
yes, yes, I've seen this

I'm not impressed with the steel. (on any of their knives)

What you are looking for is highly illegal in most european countries.
I am surprised they even make them in Italy.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Knife laws are a pet peeve of mine. I carry a Spyderco knife with a thumb hole that makes for easy and quick one-handed opening. It's maybe a millisecond or two slower to deploy than a switchblade. The locking mechanism is probably a lot sturdier, too. Yet one is illegal and the other isn't.
Most knife crimes are committed with kitchen knives, if I'm not mistaken. No move to ban those, though. Sheesh.

Sounds like you're looking for a Microtech OTF. I think your price limit may be a little low, but I'm no expert. You may want to join and look around Blade Forums. They have an exchange area with members selling autos.
Good Luck,

Why don't you slap a "zip tie wave" on that spydie Josh?
My Civilian is waved and with me always.
Switchblades are legal in FL for CC.
Sometimes clothes don't work very well to cover a gun but do fine for a monster knife (like 13" open)

I carried a benchmade auto for many years but that was a duty knife for law enforcement work. As far as I know autos are illegal in every state for civilian carry and many states prohibit them for Law Enforcement also. If they are legal in Florida that would really suprise me. I have a Cuda max with about a 6 inch blade in talonite and I can open that baby about as fast as an auto.
Ever tell you the story of the guy who carried an auto knif on a clip right over the zipper of his jeans in front in his pants and it opened by itself one day. He's now missing a piece of his anatomy. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

It's so easy that you are gonna laugh Josh.
Simply thread a zip tie through the "Spyder Hole" and tighten it. Clip off the extra and you have a "Zip Tie Wave".
As you will see when you do it the majority of the tie will stick to one side or the other, reverse according to which side you want to carry on.
I included pics of my Civilian, also legal for carry. Notice the zip tie.
Yes, I EDC a knife as long as my forearm, does this really surprise anyone?
BTW, this knife is STRICTLY for cutting necks, has never been used to cut ANYTHING and has been honed on the Swaty, 1 micron diamond, and .5 micron diamond pastes.
Here
This knife is and Endura wave and costs around $62 shipped with FRN handles and a VG10 stainless blade.
