Thread: Hollywood

They are pay to play characters. Paid to lie, paid to cry. I take nothing they say seriously. NOTHING! When it comes to politics, environment, Constitutional right etc. NOTHING! There are so far detached from reality in their mega mansions from the "peons". I am not a fan at all. Hollowwood, NBA, NFL, MLB etc. I fawn over none of them.

Yes, I fancy myself as a trendsetter, but talk about a creepy coincidence...I stated the above on 7.5.17.

Huffpo announces today, eight days later, that they're going to tour America to "hear and tell America's stories".....

Hollywood/actors are part of the media. I reread the original post and think my 7.5.17 comment is on topic. My comment about huffpo relates to that comment.

I do not intend to start anything. It's becoming clearer to me, most especially since this election cycle, that the adage about avoiding talk of religion and politics is an SRP maxim including in the Conversation thread. I think it's a challenge for most of us from time to time to keep things to pleasantries only here. I think we all more or less stick to those parameters though?

The relationship between Hollywood and the media meaning news organizations is really stretching it. Hollywood doesn't report news and for every documentary or docudrama that leans one way there is another leaning the other and there are plenty of superstar types who are both right and left leaning. Even some of the cable channels that have "news shows" plainly state they are entertainment not news casts.

At any rate you have to understand every time you post and you state something inflammatory in a way you are baiting someone to respond in kind and that's how these things get out of control.

It happens enough in razor related forums where we have to step in and take action. It seems when you post with many off topic type things folks take it more personally.

We're just trying to "head things off at the pass".
