Thanked: 4827There are many foods in Canada that are over processed. By doing thing like pasteurizing pickles and honey they remove a giant part of their health benefits. There is some interesting science that is slowly migrating its way from Europe to North American institutions. If you want a rabbit hole to go down start researching the microbiome of the human body. It is amazing stuff.

Thanked: 135probably all honey is not organic (unfortunately). From the web:
"Basically if the bees can reach any area that has chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or sludge, they cannot produce organic honey. This requirement alone will make the production of organic honey impossible for most beekeepers (If you live in a place like this: 16 square miles of no chemicals, please share where that is.)" (https://brookfieldfarmhoney.wordpres...-does-it-mean/).
Sad but true. However; the stuff my bees produce is heavenly despite the crap my neighbors might spray their yards with. I live next to the American River Parkway and in the early summer the wild flowers are in full bloom and I take a harvest soon there after; it is phenomenal honey. My first harvest is after the citrus bloom in late May and that honey is light and citrus flavored. I'm sure it may have chemicals in there but I'll take it. When the star thistle blooms in July at the parkway it is a massive flow and the honey is almost all star thistle; this is probably the purest honey I can harvest here. Taste great but makes for a poor mead.

If I'm not mistaken the poster is a Brick Layer or something of that type of skill/occupation. I'm waiting to hear exactly what it is.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

I am thinking about a hook to hold the door open for Sunday morning services.

It's a hook that used to hold the cables and wires for the light high above the streets.
