People here long to see snow. It's cool when it's falling or fresh on the ground but certainly complicates things like travel. You know what they say about grass and fences. Here it is rain. In the summer especially there is souch rain in rainy years it drives some people nuts. Personally I like.it. it's what I know. In the early 80s I went to LA for almost a year and it rained once while I was there...ONCE. Funny thing was it was a comedy of errors like it is here when it snows. People don't know how to drive in it there because they hardly ever see it. In the whole time I was there. It rained once. Here sometimes it will only rain once a day or on a rainy day maybe only once before lunch. Or sometimes it will only rain once a day for 5 minutes… rain over an inch in that 5 minutes. Florida's a great place to live if you really don't like winter. If you really don't like summer not so much. It is going to be summer time for 8 to 9 months out of the year. Usually, December, January, and February are kind of cool, sometimes even cold, but once March comes around all the way through parts of November at least part of it is going to be in the 80s if not 90s. It could be 80s any month of the year. I have heard that in parts of Montana it can snow any month of the year. More power to you if that's what you like no matter what it is and where it is. As Ronald Reagan said "vote with your feet."

Snowmageddon so far hasn't happened. We are suppose to get 8 inches or so overnight. In my opinion they are trying to take 3 little storms and add them together to get a big one. The side streets/roads that have had the snow compressed by driving on them into ice are a little slippery but I have driven in much worse. I was reading about a town in Brazil that got 23+ inches of rain in 24 hours. 1 inch of rain equals 6 to 12 inches of snow depending on how wet the snow is. 12 to 24 feet of snow in a day! Now that would be a snow storm!

I had to chuckle again....
They say in our vehicle emergency kits for winter we should carry water?????
In below freezing tempertures? If I am stuck in the ditch and need some hydration I can reach outside and get some snow. How in the heck is a bottle of ice going to improve my situation?
