It wasn't a problem in my truck but small cars were parked up on curbs & medians everywhere. I'd never seen anything like it.

Thanks. I know we have more coming but not as bad until Friday suppose to be worse again but sometimes Weather Channel Max on my phone isn't always right. We've had our share of rain for awhile now. next thing mosquitoes will be breeding & if it continues, they'll be the size of dragon flies!
You know you are in trouble with mosquitoes when they start refueling them at the airport.
Bob
You could always have an 'Alaskan Mosquito_---:w

Yep, mosquitoes in my parts have hair on their backs, look like B-17s, and are known to carry off small children, and suck a rat dry in one slurp.
Yes sir, you got em like we do Mike. Damn things are scary!!! :dropjaw:
The mosquitos are different down here than other regions I've lived in. They itch more!
Also, I wasn't used to the ones that hit you in broad daylight.. most other mosquitos prefer the shade and don't chase you down like these Tiger mosquitos!
We have very few mosquitos, no see ums in cloud formation though.
I'm lucky enough to be just far enough south to not get the black flies :D
Here we also have deer flies and horse flies. Those rotten little buggers take chunks.
Ugh! I forgot all about those terrible flies! Deer fly and horse fly..
I haven't seen any yet in SC so I should be grateful.
We’ve got those as well Shaun. Buggers B I T E HARD!!!!
Well I thought I'd look up big mosquitoes since I was in Florida recently and was surprised at the size.
These birds attack! Even a strong breeze doesn't help.

Horse flies are terrible. They're hardly around here but 30 miles from here at the beach in Galveston is where they hang out for some reason. That may be where they somehow mated with the shark!

MikeT, they get that big here!
It's beginning to thunder here so round 2 is coming very soon!
You mean the mosquito's are so big when they flock together it sounds like thunder? :dropjaw:

What did you make Tim?
Otay....Aluminum ingot in da dirt.......
Tim has filled an anthill with molten aluminum.
He shall delicately wash away the dirt in the tub.
A honeycomb?

Tim is growing “medicinal” mushrooms.
It has dual use.. An antenna. And a horn straightener.
Re-purposed hair straightener. Modified so that the plates face the same way..
:)
Looks like the block haas completely colonized Tim. Way to go :tu
Now if that is Lions Mane it should be in a bag and just a few spotsholes for it to fruit from. You'll get much bigger clusters that way
EDIT:
I looked closer, ya know enlarged the photo, and those primordial clusters that have formed look great!
I see you're using the tub method, good way to go. What are using as the medium for maintaining moisture?
And has your mycelium colonized that as well?
