It's a section of a huge oak tree. The way it sits, the tree would be laying on it's side. You can see the rounded sides in front and behind my daughter. to the left and right of her is the end grain. 14 inches thick, 4 feet x 4 feet. When my wife and I saw it at the reclaimed wood furniture store, we had to have it. Unfortunately, it was no where near dry when we bought it and it has changed quite a bit over the last 6 years from it drying. It's on casters, but I have it up on wood blocks that are cupped so it wont move, and also so my Roomba will go underneath it. Originally Posted by RezDog

Yeah good thing we have a king size bed, the 3 yr old gets in and dad has only about 1 1/2 feet to sleep on. If the bed was any smaller I'd be on the floor......or couch
