Speaking of more modern Western movies, I caught the 2008 Western "Appaloosa" with Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen last month on HBO. I was truly impressed. Yes, I am a fan of both Mortensen and Harris, but the movie itself did not disappoint.
If I recall, Harris also directed this.

While I'm in my Florida pad and on Eastern time for a change, nothing like a cup of coffee or two and "Wanted Dead or Alive" on Heroes and Icons TV from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Eastern. That's 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM Hawaiian Standard Time so it's DVR only when I'm there.
I'm taking today off so will probably watch "Have Gun Will Travel" on H&I TV from 8-9 AM. Then the old 1/2 hour Gunsmoke episodes on MeTV from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Eastern. I have to take advantage of this time zone while I am here.

I Loved Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Maverick, Cheyenne, Gene Autry, The Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Cisco Kid, Wanted Dead or Alive, Death Valley Days, The Rifleman, Laramie, Rawhide, Wagon Train, The Life & Legend of Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Daniel Boone, & more. Some of these I still watch everyday on Starz. I love the old westerns, many movies also. I remember I used to always watch 12 O'clock High all the time because my dad was in the Air Force & I even watched Combat. And all the actor/actresses back then, too many to list.
