Thinking About Starting a Website.
I am currently looking into making/starting a website. An online shop is not currently desired, but may be added in the future. It's been around 16 years since I had that HTML module in Shop Class, and that was only enough to create a very basic website.
Any thoughts or recommendations for a hosting service with a builder? I'd like some good, but affordable (or even free) options.
I've barely started my dive into this rabbit hole, but I have at least one candidate so far: get my domain through Google, and use Wix for hosting & builder/templates (etc.). That combo would run me about $22 to $26 per month, IIRC.
If any of you gentlemen have experience with similar things, or knowledge on the subject, some suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

I've had good luck using Go Daddy for years for hosting my sites and support. Having your Domain Name with the same people hosting your website can make it simpler. I have my Domain Names with Network Solutions. It is a pain making changes and adjustments across two websites in managing your site.
Both places host websites and Domain Names. I just haven't gone through the hassle of combining mine.

Way over my head!
I wish I had more understanding of this stuff but for now, texting, forum basics and email is about my limit. Good luck. Sounds kinda cool to have a place to put pics on the web. I might need to bend your ear someday. It's just Sharpening, right?

Oops! I calculated that price estimate incorrectly! I factored the domain as $12/mo., but it's $12/yr. So I guess my new estimate would be $11-$15/month?

That's a good price. I have my BBQ business hosted at GoDaddy and is easy to set up and run. Price is very variable with options you choose.
I also have one hosted by SquareSpace. That one is probably more like what you want. I thought the price was good and found the right template for my use. After that it was quite simple

Thanked: 227I do all my hosting through popmedia. No builder but the customer service has been top notch.
They're based in NZ.
