If you don't want to be called feminine, make your man bag a Jack Bauer bag

    Man bag: $25
    Sunglasses: $49
    Sidearm: $800
    Ammo: $1459

    Saving the world, AGAIN...

    Priceless.

I'm not sure if this is, but I will treat it as a sincere statement.

A lot of it comes from how I deal with things.
I'm sure lots of people would have just brandished the club in an attempt to deter them.
    Not me.
My philosophy in life is "Why take the effort to tote a club if you don't get to swing it?"

More " Damn the torpedoes, FULL SPEED AHEAD !!" sort of behavior.
Of course this has mellowed out over the last 5 years or so.

Does that make me more predictable and less of a loose cannon?
    Sure.
    Less dangerous?

In Tony's story there was a cool knife flip and some appropriately unenthusiastic thugs.
Had it been me, at least two people would have been stabbed/cut severely and one might have died.

    Why?
I feel that I have a moral obligation to protect not just myself but others if possible.
If they did it to me then they will do it to someone else right?

Well, I got news for you buddy.
    Dead men don't mug !

    This is my man bag:

It can also double as a strop in an emergency.

I used to carry a Rhodesian ruck sack for years, picked it up at a surplus shop in the 70's. I think it lasted about 20 years before it fell apart, haven't found another that worked as well, bummer...

Well, since we're on this man bag admission train, this is mine
I carry way too much crap around all the time for anything smaller...

Mine is much more rugged looking that the pic(read that "dirty"), LOL.

*edit* I suppose I could strop on the strap, it's a tad narrow though I think.
