TBH, I know we have some deer-hunters here, all levity aside.

Pretty cool how they come-up close to view. Seems like a rare occurrence at someone's back door, esp someone who may not be feeding them.

I reckon MisterClean will enjoy them more by leaving them alone. I would.

I surely do like venison, but I don't eat it anymore, because unlike beef, venison isn't always tested for prion diseases -- CWD in deer.

Thats why you deep freeze it for 30 days or more, before cunsuming.

I would leave those two alone. The yard deer are off limits. Plenty of game animals in the woods for us to chase. These are just lovely little lawn ornaments. Same goes for birds that get in the yard. My German shorthair would disagree, but yard birds are off limits. (Unless you are a cat, and then all birds are doomed.)

    Way off topic.
I have a neighbor and she feeds cats in the back yard and he feeds birds in the front yard. I think they are both feeding the cats.

Freddie, those are nice deer. Either as food or ornaments, they are great.

I remember my wife's grandparents lived in Marble Falls, Texas.

Once, we drove over to a little retirement subdivision called 'Deer Haven'.
Took a tour within.....Nary a blade of grass. Most bushes were gone or going.

Nice homes surrounded by dirt and deer lying about. Seemed sad.
    They fed them!

They would come in at night and destroy my mom's garden. She was not a fangirl for the whitetail!

Unfortunately, freezing, baking, pressure cooking, autoclaving... nothing works. Nothing that leaves proteins intact seems to stop prions.
