Welcome to the evil empire Jerry!
Knowing howcareful Facebook and its apps have been with user data in the past, I'd caution against installing anything unless you know what it is, and actually have a use for it. For example I find the messenger app useful on my phone (for facebook messaging), but I think I've removed virtually all other apps that I once had installed. It was kind of fun to play scrabble with old friends on the other side of the world way back when, but whenever you install something, you give someone permission to do stuff with your data. Not worth it in many cases IMHO.
However, that having been said, I find facebook extremely useful, particularly for keeping in touch with friends who have scattered all over the place.
Enjoy, and good luck avoiding the garbage.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 55Just install Facebook and Messenger. You don't need anything else. Send friend requests to all your friends and add photos if you would like.
Read the "Timeline" to see what your friends are doing and make a comment yourself from time to time.

Thanked: 3795My FB use is limited. Friends are limited for the most part to people that I could pick out of a line-up or at least have interacted with online. I don't accept friend requests from random strangers. Also, and I guess this part is odd, I don't "like" anything.

Well, being a troglodyte I have nothing to do with Facebook. I don't need it or want it.
One of these days when the space aliens arrive they're gonna use it to track all it's members down and vaporize all of them with their ray guns.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

this we agree on I don't see a need for facebook considering what has gone on around here on the other side. I had an account but really didn't like it, closed it and deleted. my friends I can email or just pick up the phone Tc
