That Tesla should have cameras and warning devices all over it to alert the driver.
I feel people rely on that too much.
Saw a commercial the other day. Lady driving needs to go between 2 trucks on the highway.
Has her family on-board. She says "I got this!"
Pushes a button on the steering wheel, lets go of the wheel and the car's sensors and computer guide it through.....

    Everyone smiles. Life is good!

Fortunately no one was hurt, so that is good. Take care Jerry.
My HS had horrible traffic when school let out (2 lanes, no light, teen drivers). Girl was trying to get out but couldn't see past the large car next to her at the exit. Some impatient wise guy yelled "GO!!!" and she pulled out in front of a semi that had to be speeding. Her car probably did a full 360 spin and really shook her up. I don't think the semi was damaged too badly though.

I am glad things weren't much worse. A truck full of gasoline and a car loaded with batteries can make for a fiery cocktail.

I have started to change lanes with a car in my blind spot; fortunately, I spotted the potential danger in time. A tanker should be big enough such that it cannot hide in a blind spot.

When you are driving and when you are shaving with a straight razor, it is best to pay attention at all times. It sounds like the drive of the car should have been more attentive.

Yeah, that blind spot gets a lot bigger if they are focused on something else!

Ray, you hit the nail on the head.
I didnt know it was a Tesla u til i got out and check on her. Then seen what kind of car it was and i pulled away and waited for the cops. I dont need no damn sparks or acid getti g anywhere near my truck. I told the cop what and why i moved and he understood fully.

Its 3 lanes travdling towards a intersection. At the end the right lane has to go right, the left lane has to go left, center lane (where i was) goes straight. She was in right lane and wanted to go straight. People have no real understanding of the weight difference in there and my vehicle. Guessing what her car weighs, i bet my truck is at least 12 times the weight of her car if not more.

So to all my friends out there, please give trucks a little room. Dont race them and/or jump in front of them. It happens to me every day and if somethjng was to go wrong, death is not worth a few seconds or a couple minutes worth of your time.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. Stuff happens, and in this line of work, its a bit more dangerous. Its just part of the job when driving a bomb. I just try not to think about it too much.

Many people are morons these days & they usually do that crap when I'm on my Harley. I'm on break right now (at least my Harley) until I fix it from the last morons that made a left turn in front of me but when it's up & going again I'll have to deal with them again. No one has a sense of responsibility anymore or any respect & when they cause an accident, they are in denial & lie about it. Even when backing out of a parking space in my truck, people used to stop & let ya out but these days, they ignore your reverse lights & lay on their horn or try to speed past almost hitting them. People change lanes w/o using a turn signal anymore. They might as well break it off if they aren't going to use it. Sometimes I just want to slap the #*!@&?% out of them!!!!

Seriously, stay out of a truck's kill zone. Something happens you will be killed! Truckers see it every day. Weight, reaction time, stopping distance, momentum, are all greater for the 80,000 pound truck. When changing lanes in front of a truck on the highway, don't cut in front of us. There's a reason 70% of all accidents involving big trucks are not our fault. True fact.

A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.
