    Default Canadian slang

In another thread I caught a bit of Canadian slang. When I asked what this meant I only got more Canadian slang hurled my way, so I am starting this thread so that maybe some of our Canadian friends can list some of their more common colloquialisms and meanings! I would greatly appreciate it!!

How's it goin', eh? Okay, first off, there are 24 beers in a two-four, obviously. We drink pop, not soda and sit on the chesterfield not the couch. We wipe our faces with a serviette, not a napkin. Our dollar is called a Loonie and the Two dollar coin is obviously a Twonie (you can spell those however you like). You get your coffee from Timmy's and wear a toque in the winter.

We drink pop also. In some places though, it will be soda or soda pop! Also , serviette is used in the States , but I don't believe it is that common.
    Thank you sir!! Anybody else?

Then there's the national debate whether it's gitch, gotch, or gonch. Hopefully everybody is wearing clean ones (the commando crew can spare us the details).

Ordering a double-double is a coffee with double cream and double sugar. I got a blank look when I ordered one of those at the Miami airport. We pronounce "Z" as "zed" and not "zee." "Aboot" is only for the CDN's living in the extreme East provinces and many of them picked up normal pronounciation.

Don't make you look bad? It's a little too late for that....
