I get a kick out of folks who say they wished they were born 150 years earlier. if that were the case many if not most of us would be long gone from this world.

I went through the same routine 18 months ago. They reduced my blood meds after a year and come next Feb I'll be off them totally. I've been using a DE and will look forward to getting my straights out of mothballs.

Initially I tried using the straight but a lesson I learned is what we normally think is razor burn? A component of that are tiny micro cuts. They are so small they don't bleed and you can't see them but an AS with alcohol will find them but we brush it off as razor burn. Well, when you be on blood thinners and platelet medication they bleed. You get this tiny drop of blood that just oozes out and stays there.

    Best not to tempt fate.

Glad to hear you pulled thru ok.
Your shaving habits will have to change for awhile but that is no big deal. Your meds need to be taken as directed unless/until they cannot be tolerated.
Controlling your food, alcohol, and exercise will be a constant from here on out. But that is simply an opportunity to learn new things.

I can relate a bit, I have had 4 of them and now 17 years later I am still kicking and starting to ride motorcycles at the age of 70!

I bet it helps Freddie hearing from other of us that have went thru this. I thank you all and am glad you all have pulled thru such a major thing. My dad just had the heart valve surgery and said he hasn't felt this good in 20+ years.
Stick with the meds and directions Freddie. We need you around here.

Good to see you back around here, Freddie, and I'm glad your medical scare worked out for the best in the end. Sounds like RandyDance knows what he's talking about. Take care of yourself!
