Where's MisterClean?
Hi guys,
I've been smothered in work for the last few months, so much for retirement. Two weeks ago
I had a heart attack. I was up in Colorado at a family gathering. Lucky for me a family member
who happens to be a Doctor was in the house when it happened. He checked me out and my family
went into action. They rushed me to a hospital in Glenwood Springs about 10 miles away.
I had 100% blockage in the main artery to my heart. They implanted a stent and 3 days later I was
headed back to Arizona.
I'm adjusting to a new diet, life style and drug regiment. I'm taking some blood thinners and I bruise
easily and they also warned me about getting cuts. Shaving with a straight is a risk. Regular shaving with
a DE razor is safer but even those tiny cuts bleed a lot. I have to take these blood thinners for a year
while the artery grows around and seals the stent.
I'm doing better, I actually feel 110% better. Its amazing, I didn't know how bad I was feeling before,
all this happened.
I'll be around contributing when I can, miss I you guys. Back to work for now.

Good to hear your still with us Freddie. I myself went through the same ordeal just 3 short years ago.
Doc told me to only shave with an electric razor, no blades. I got a good chuckle, as I showed him pics of my method to shaving.
I endured a few small cuts, but nothing a styptic pencil couldn't handle. As for the bruising, I looked like I was using my arms and hands to bust concrete. Just scratching an itch, left bruises.
They kept me in the hospital for ten days before I was released, only to be remitted 8 days later, when I came in for my check up. I had went into hart arrhythmia that very morning . They tried every drug they could to get in control, to no avail. So the use of the last ditch was used.
Doc said you'll wake up, or not. So I got a few seconds with my wife be fore they stopped my heart, and hit me with the paddles.
Had twelve different doctors in my room when I woke up, so I asked why they were there. Their reply was...were trying to figure out why your still alive, you should have not made it through what you've been through.
My reply was...while I was gone I stopped at the pearly gates, and St. Peter said god don't want me, and Satin wouldn't have me.
What really got the doc's, was when they decided to do another stent they scoped my veins and arteries.
There's no scaring..!! Like none of it ever happened.Mike

Thank heavens there was someone who knew to get you to the hospital right away. I'm glad that you're now feeling 110%--it's amazing what a little blood and oxygen to your heart and brain with do. Take care, Freddie.

That's crazy, Freddie, so glad it all worked out just fine! Yeah, follow the doctors' orders and avoid the straights for the time being. You don't have to shave with a straight razor or to shave at all, for that matter, all we need is for you to stay this side of life and you'll have a guaranteed place here with tons of friends
How is the music? Do you have to slow down too, or may be you don't have a choice while you're recovering?
