people will continue to get worse as we are not allowed to correct any one. It's offensive (or racist) to point out faults even if they are meant to make a person better.

Anyway my brother was having stomach problems and other ills so he finally went to a Dr and the Doc sat down with a form and started asking him questions such as what do you eat, how much sleep etc.

When the Dr came to the question of; "How much coffee do you you drink" my brother replied; "Well three or four pots a day". The Dr laughed and said; "You mean cups don't you"? To which my brother replied; "No, pots" to which the Dr said; I think we're onto something here.

Our mother would wake up at 2-3 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. She'd warm up and drink some leftover coffee and have a cigarette and then go back to bed and sleep.

I'm on the opposite end as if I have coffee it's one, maybe two cups in the morning and I'm done for the day!

    I hope all will enjoy:

Moving into my new building, I'm right beside our work-break room. We all made sure to get the coffee pot, Keurig and all accessories set up and ready last week. No coffee no teachee!

I'm wired backward also. I can drink a whole pot of coffee and go to sleep. In fact if I drink too much it will put me to sleep. I drink about a quart in the morning and I would drink more but a couple of years ago I got renal cell carcinoma. Pissed out a bunch of blood one day and subsequently found out I had a mass the size of a racket ball on my kidney. A week later I had surgery and had my left kidney removed. They didn't tell me not to drink it or too much even but I just try to be more moderate all the way around since then.

Paul-It sounds like you've recovered from your kidney scare. If you have the sense of humor I think you do, this early scene from the same movie might apply:

"My name is Gunnery Sgt. Highway, and I've drank more beer, pissed more blood, and....[etc.]"

Interesting things. People with ADHD are often given caffeine to calm them down. I don’t drink a lot of coffee but will occasionally have one to help me get back to sleep.

    PS
I do drink coffee almost every morning but not much outside of one or two in the morning
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
