That is because the number of people who are not immune have far fewer people around them that can infect them.

Having an effective, not necessarily 100%, vaccine against Covid 19 should reduce the the number of infections and deaths from it to a level where you can go about your daily routine without the extra measures now in place. That is only if a very high percentage of a population get the inoculation, likely on a yearly basis similarly to the common flu.

To me the end game is a return to some sort of pre Covid 19 normality. It will be a money maker, as it should, for those companies that can produce the vaccine.

While I don't necessarily disagree with anything you have said Bob.

There is no way I will get any vaccine that has been rushed through and forgone years of testing.

Has anyone else seen the commercials on TV, the ones that tout a fantastic new drug and then list the possible side effects as quickly and quietly as they as they can. An arthritis drug than can cause cancer or heart failure for example.

I still remember Thalidomide and how my Mum told me she was terrified because she wasn't sure if she had taken it.

I think I will watch for a while and see how many commercials there are for class action lawsuits before I get a shot. In the meantime, I am semi retired and work from home - I have 2 fridge freezers and a big upright freezer in the garage as well as a bread maker.

All I need to get is a cow in the back garden for milk and butter and I can ride out the virus while I watch to see if the vaccine is actually safe.

I'm not convinced that anyone that makes these COVID shots actually care about long term effects because the various governments will go all out to protect them and they will make millions for being the first to the finish line.
