Thanked: 4206The best Bond, IMO. And he made The Untouchables the gritty legend It was as well.
RIP Mr Connery."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

To me he was THE James Bond. He was the metering stick that all others were gauged by. Truly a perfect mix of debonair and fisticuffs. A man who got more handsome as he aged; something the rest of us lesser men admire or envy.

I don't recall ever seeing a Sean Connery movie that I didn't like. I gave both of my daughters copies of Darby O'Gill and the Little People for their kids. If you haven't seen it, take the time---you'll hear him sing.
I didn't think that my mother would ever stop crying when she watched him die in the Untouchables. When she finally did she said "Boy, he sure earned that Oscar".
He looked so natural with a pony tail in Medicine Man.
After he'd retired I read that the Powers That Be wanted to make another Indiana Jones movie with him and when they contacted him said that if anything would tempt him out of retirement it would be another Indiana Jones movie but he was retired.
I once heard a comedian say that he wished he had Sean Connery's voice so he could pick up women. He said he could be at a petting zoo and walk up to a woman and using Sean's voice just say 'Nice Goat' and it'd all be over.
Rest In Peace Mr. Connery thank you for the many happy hours of entertainment you gave to millions.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

"The name is Bond... James Bond." There was only ONE true Double-O Seven. All the others were mere aspirants who sort of got it, but not quite.

Scrolling through Hulu last night found (and watched) The Rock. Loved Connery in that one.
