Wait a minute, New Mexico steals their water from Colorado, so I don’t see that as a problem, and we all steal it from canada

Thanked: 3223Yup, the water from the Red River eventually winds up in Hudson Bay. The Red floods most years and Winnipeg had to build the Red River Floodway to divert some of the water around the city to prevent massive flooding.
I can only think of one major river, the Columbia River, that flows from Canada to the US and empties into the Pacific on the US side. All the Great Lakes except Lake Michigan are shared water ways as is the St. Lawrence Seaway.

No, all the water rights north of N.M is bought and paid for by N.M.
Texas strong-armed the courts way back when we were a weak territory instead of us currently being a weak state and they got what they wanted at our expense.
Also way back when they surveyed the borders they made a Texas sized mistake. Actually El Paso should be in N.M though personally having been there more times than I care to remember they can have it.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Well the way I look at it is this. If my neighbor has a fruit tree and some of the branches hang over my fence and into my yard with fruit on them... That s*** is mine now.

So...
any clearer about buying that house now?
FWIW, buying my place was the best decision I ever made, but it made sense *for me*. Whether or not it does for anyone else depends on their situation, the market, what they are looking for, and how they want to live. So if you want to, and you're able, then buy. Before signing the papers though, be sure in your mind that you're not making yourself "house poor". I.e. don't over-extend yourself. I could have spent more on a place when I bought here, but am glad I didn't. That extra $$ has gone towards things that matter to me, mostly my workshop, forge, etc.
Best of luck, whatever you decide.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
