This is a quote from the article posted.
"The plane can transport two patients at a time, six medical personnel and four flight crew personnel."
It appears to me it would be easier to bring the equipment to the patient rather than the patient to the equipment.

Thanked: 3222That would be a yes and a no. The equipment that is in place along with the trained staff are needed where it is even if not fully utilised at the moment. Seems you never know when Covid 19 is going to spike in any given area. It was not too long ago we were in the position that Manitoba is in now and some of our patients were transferred around Ontario. Now locally at least we have room in our Covid 19 ICU to help others out from Ontario and Manitoba as needed. Just easier to leave equipment and trained staff in place and bring the patients to them instead of constantly shifting those around.

Thanked: 56It's a big plane. I bet it could carry more than two, but that two was all that was needed.
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

Thanked: 3222Yea, many untapped uses for drones.
Yes, if enough people get vaccinated globally it should lower the anxiety level quite a bit. I can also see being vaccinated a requirement for international travel in the future along with proof of vaccination having to be shown at point of entry. Personally, I don't want to see our border open to anyone who does not meet those basic requirements.
