Got the booster two days ago.
Absolutely no side effects...

My wife and I are wimps, it knocked me on my butt for a day. I think the lady at the pharmacy injected a golf ball in my arm.
My wife ended up going to urgent care. All was good in the end.
We are happy campers now.

I asked my Doctors office about getting a covid booster and I was told to phone after the New Year.
I phoned yesterday and got the answering machine, I left a message but wasn't phoned back.
I phoned again this morning and was told that that appointment were full and to ring again after the 18th.
2 minutes later the Med Centre phoned back to tell me that ther had some cancellaations and we could get done today if we could get in befofre 12PM.
We dressed in record time and got in the car for the 30 minute drive to the Dodctors office.
Look - what I got
I'm all boostered up, and so is swmbo.
We opened a bottle of wine to celebrate when we got home.
It was secco, she didn't like it so I drunk the whole bottle so as not to waste it.
I am just hoping I spelled everything right and I haven't said anything in this post that I might regret tomorrow, what the hell, I'm boostered up.

Thanked: 3223The boss and I got our booster shots 17 Dec 2021. Just made an appointment, walked into the pharmacy, took two minutes to do paper work then round the corner for the shots. The boss got Pfizer as she had that before and I got Moderna as I had that before. I never even felt the jab, had a little swelling around the injection site for a few days and no other side effects. Trying to get a booster shot in Ontario is just plain crazy now.

Thanked: 4206Triple dosed with a mixed bag of AZ and pFizer now so figure I’m covered three ways till Sunday now, including any mutations that can come thanks to my mutated mix of doses, hehe.
Felt so safe I waded through the sick to have an in person real Dr appt for a non Covid related blood work and cholesterol talk with my family GP. Sure he was dressed in full splash park regalia but hey, it was kinda normal. Talking age related and general health shit. He wants me to go for a cat scan on the lungs as I’m at the right age and lifestyle exposure level to warrant it he says..
Hell, with all the hype about cancelling elective everything I don’t expect an appt anytime soon… but play normal long enough, maybe we get normal again gents so sign me up for a cat scan.
Stay safe and let’s all play normal in 2022,, maybe it’ll catch on quicker den Covid!

Thanked: 49Got boosted Dec 6. 4 out of 5 in the family are boosted. Three of us tested positive for covid. Very mild symptoms. We all have a slight runny nose. The wife had a low grade fever than went away rather quickly. The shots are beneficial for sure. But they have to stop calling them vaccines. They are not vaccines they are like flu shots. Not trying to tell anyone not to get one. I think they help a lot and protect against serious illness and death. I had a slight cold a few weeks ago that was worse than this. The youngest of my three is not boosted. and hes the only child who tested positive for it. The latest here in NY is +/- 26 % according to statistics anyway.

Thanked: 3223We call them flu shots but they are influenza vaccines. When you get your flu shot you are being vaccinated against the yearly flu/influenza. Like all vaccines, they don't stop 100% of infections but moderate the symptoms of those who do get infected to hopefully survive the infection and or hospitalisation.

Thanked: 1081I had the Pfizer booster in Dec, no side effects whatsoever. Spoke to a mate yesterday and unfortunately he got got a blood clot 2 days after his booster although the docs are very reluctant to admit it was the booster. He spent Christmas in hospital and still has to have daily stomach injections.
