We as the US do help those people out. no we do not "SEND IN THE TANKS",But we do humanitarian missions. I have been to Africa on such missions. Yes I was in the military. We were Doctors, Nurses, Dentist, but you have to remember, this is a Government, that has done nothing to the US. By the constitution, we have to be invited.

No, it is nuclear, it is when the atomic nuclei divide (or get together in the case of a Hydrogen bomb) combining into different kind of nuclei. Both processes release energy, since the most stable nucleus is that of Iron (may be that's why we all like razors made of steel - just kidding, that's not why).
Besides nuclei the atoms also have electrons which also can release energy by changing into different configuration. However these are much smaller energies and the process is largely known as oxidation (e.g. rust), burning, or explosion (as in gunpowder, TNT, etc.) depending on the time scale over which it happens.
Now nucular is a whole different story. This actually is one of my pet peeves, I don't care who uses it.
I beg to disagree. This is pure speculation on your part. You should remember that Iranians view themselves as the descendants of the Persian Empire. That's a little bit more continuity than what we have on this continent. Also remember that these people are not stupid. Even if they can obliterate Israel together with all the holy muslim places they know that they cannot get rid of all Jews, unless they can obliterate the whole planet. I would be willing to give some credibility to your statements if you've talked on a neutral land to an actual person from that region and know their perspective. Unfortunately I am led to believe that your opinion is based only on propaganda. The Iranian government is quite different from the former Taliban government.
I know I am making pretty abrasive statements myself, but I have been exposed to more propaganda from many different sources than most people who grew up here. After a while you kind of start realizing that what is said is usually quite different from what the truth is. I do lack the life experience of most members, but I have paid taxes to several governments.Last edited by gugi; 09-10-2007 at 05:13 AM.

My view on Marxism is that it was an ideology put to experiment and it failed.
Not unlike the neoconservatism of recent years. But the later happened within the general framework of representative democracy which seems to be holding up, so I am not opposed to such mini-experiments.
So, we were talking about some misplaced nukes....

Thanked: 6The terms have become basically interchangeable. There are two types of nuclear weapons - fission bombs (splitting atoms - think WWII) and fusion bombs (fusing various isotopes of hydrogen into helium atoms).
I'm not quite sure where the reference to Iron comes in, unless you're thinking of decay chains (which Iron is not the only final state).

Correct - although I wish they have not. I do prefer nuclear

Actually the most tightly bound isotope is Nickel (Ni62), but the Iron Fe58 and Fe56 are very close after, and Fe56 is very abundant in stellar processes.
Ok, this probably is a little bit too much for a razor place.
