I agree 100% with all said about her as a person but this isn't about that.
This is about the Russians using an American as a bargaining chip for whatever they want. There are others rotting in Russian labor camps beside her.
Maybe someday a friend or relative of yours might travel to Russia (stupid I know) and maybe have one too many in a pub and next thing they know they are in Jail for throwing a punch at a cop and sent to some Gulag. That is or was the case with an ex Marine. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

We have numerous professional football players here who outright refuse to sing (or speak) the words to our National Anthem as it's played prior to a game. It makes my blood boil I tell ya. Bloody ignorant smart asses. My Grandfather and many others fought in World War II to keep this great country free from enemy invasion, which was banging on our front door. These athletes show complete disrespect for the sacrifices made by others to keep Australia free, allowing these pro's to play their game.

If she is grown enough to refuse to be on the court while our anthem is played then she is grown enough to suffer the consequences of breaking a law she knew she was breaking. It sure seems like she has some growing up left to do though. At least to the point that she understands that actions have consequences and also that even baby birds that don't even have their eyes open yet know enough not to crap in their nest.
Maybe serving a little hard time might make her understand that our anthem is not about her but about those who believed in our country and its freedoms enough to die for it. Ironic as it is that one of those rights is the right to speak out against your country even though you have it pretty darn good.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend.
