This is a strange one - but no point in stating all the straightforward ones that I would have. I would like a small breeding group of Corallus annulatus, the annulated tree boa from central america. Around eight years ago I had a group of five captive bred CITES certificated babies ready to come from a guy in Florida. Now these are rare in the wild and just so in captivity - $2000 a baby. I had bred others in the family - a difficult group to keep and breed. I was ready for the challenge. Life got in the way, I had to cancel and gave the guy a fair whack of deposit for essentially wasting his time - CITES paperwork takes time and effort for appendix 1 animals. He was decent about it. So I would have two male and three female captive bred annulatus to pamper, grow on and breed. However - life would still get in the way right now - too much change on the horizon. It will keep for a settled patch not too far away I hope.
Not sure if these could be called luxury items but working with them is relaxing and exciting and they are living jewels - but I don't really need them!Last edited by Makar; 04-09-2008 at 12:06 PM.

My wish list of luxuries. None of which I need, but would like to have anyway:
- Rolex Yachmaster (or maybe Sea Dweller) watch
- Gibson Songwriter Deluxe acoustic/electric guitar
- Exmark zero turn riding mower
- A nice pair of Alden shoes
- A ski boat
- A fully equipped woodworking shop
Unfortunately, my family insists that we continue to live indoors and eat regularly.

Windvane
Radar
Water maker
Chart plotter
Fortunately we already got a bunch of items on our list:
New bateries
Solar panels
Wind generator
Good thing for me, my wife wants the same things out of life that I do, and that is to not work and sail around the world.

That's awesome, I would love to do that someday. I know it may be a bit personal, but did you dish everything for a boat and the sailing lifestyle or is it more of a hobby for the time being? Not sure what sparked this curiosity, except that I admire your ability to follow your dreams

A Ducati 1098, LaMarzocco FB80 and Mazzer Robur for the house, an antique side by side old English 12 gauge with a case colored locks and uber fancy French wood. One day I may have a Maestro Livi.

- A Socata TBM-850. The ultimate single engine turboprop! I'd post pics/more info, but I'm lazy after my Guinness!
- A BMW M3 (the one that just came out w/ a V8 that revs to 8400 RPM...)
- A BMW R1200GS Adventure so I can play "Lawrence of Arabia/Indiana Jones" every weekend or so.
- A house with a built-in smoking room & walk-in humidor vented to the outside so the whole house doesn't smell like cigar smoke.

I have used 3 different custom tailors, all with good results. Find a good tailor near you that does custom suits and see if he has "off the rack suits" he can alter. A tailor's off the rack suits are going to be top notch and a good value for the money. In my area I can get a NICE suit for $400, custom suits can be 3 times that cost.

We can't get 50 BMG in California anymore...
I've been admiring the .416 Barrett and the .338 Lapua Mag... for a while now.
with no where to shoot one.
I guess I'll just have to save my money and spend it on a Livi.

Thanked: 4I'll have to change my first gun listed from the .50 to a Cosmi 12 ga. I now have the big gun, but I would love to take a Cosmi apart to see how the heck that thing works.
Wayne, it's always something
