I'll second that. I got married two weeks ago, and my wife bought me this Titanium ring from him:

    I feel for you too!

Great thing you told your wife at once, that's what I'd advise (and do). I also think that you'll probably find it at some point. Good luck!

As for hiding the ring - this is evil! If my wife did this to me I'd be quite mad, but since I know she's not a stickler for the rings and would only do it as a joke, not to torment me, I'll be over it pretty soon...

I haven't put on my ring for a long time (because I was rockclimbing, etc.) The ring isn't what's important in a relationship, regardless of what many girls seem to think But I don't want to lose it, of course

    Cheers

I would love to have a titanium ring but I would never get one for one simple reason: if you have to get it cut off, you're screwed! It'd be easier to just cut off your finger than get one of those off.

Now gold, that's where it's at. Nice and soft, easy to cut. Melts back nicely...it's win win all around

Hey Kyle, those rings look amazing. While they are not cheap per-se, they are still an order of magnitude cheaper than what a new platinum ring would cost me.
They look really cool and I think I might order one fom them If I can make a decision about which one. So many great looking rings...

Still, I am going to give it a couple more weeks to see if my old one turns up.

    Try a platinum ring...
The good news is that it is very unlikely to deform unless you hit it dead on with a sledgehammer. Anything likely to damage a platinum ring will probably mangle your hand so that's no real issue.

My wife ordered a very simple, no frills model to wear while she's engaged in activities where her real ring might get damaged or lost. My Ti ring has held up WAY better than my gold one did during my first marriage. I'd stay away from tension sets though. And with so many cool designs, who needs a gem anyway!

    Cutting titanium isn't a problem:

Some of the tungsten rings can't be cut, but they can be cracked safely with vise-grip pliers:

Sure, but how long did it take him? I've handled my fair share of titanium and it's a bitch. It cuts just fine, but it takes ages and runs through cutters pretty quick. Typically if you need to cut a ring off, it needs to come off immediately. But hey, it's just rings and personal preference

I thought about a cheaper ring to wear when I was doing more "hands on" work as my wedding band is a pretty thick platinum with 24 diamonds around the band. My wife told me that since she paid for that ring I will wear that ring. Its insured and she would rather it get damaged than pay all that money for a ring I wont wear...go figure. The platinum has held up surprisingly well through everything its been through though.

BTW, Asher the engraving on your ring is great lol...my wife got a big laugh out of that.
