Until all of us get involved in government, not just the elections, but I mean a willingness to attend meetings, run and serve, and keep an actual eye on these people and communicate with each other and organize we will continue to lose to the special interests that dictate the policies of either party. Americans have sat on the sidelines too long waiting for someone else to do something.
If government of, by and for the people is to succeed, we as americans need to to get off our asses and get involved. It will be a great inconvenience to the average american, especially with competing interests like tv, sports, etc.But if we do not run this country ourselves, others will do it(and have) for t
    heir own selfish interests.
As for the two party system, I believe it no longer exists, Cant really tell the difference between the actions of Dems or Reps, just a lot of hyperbole. We really need to support 3rd party candidates so the supposed 2 partys will have some competition, and be inclined to clean up their act. JMHO, I do not mean to inflame or offend.
