Have you ever seen 'Meet Joe Black'? with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins.
At a certian moment they shoot a scene in his library.
THAT's the kind of library / reading area I would like to be able to afford: a large room with an open second floor, everything in quality wooden paneling, excellent lighting...
I guess that library was as big as my entire house.
Forgot about the computers because I am a software developer. It's just suff any self respecting geek would have in his basement.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Books. I have over 3000 titles most in the Sci-fi or fantasy genres thought there is a leavening of mysteries, and a sprinkling of the classics in there too. Even among the books we have special collections. I have a few favorite authors who I'm working on first edition complete sets of. Our couple dozen signed firsts take pride of place. we also have a collection of pre civil war school books The US history book is real short . We're working on a wall of Easton press special editions all leather bound with gold titles these look real nice and add character to the library.
This is my only AD though, I've avoided even most of the shaving ones for the most part.

We did a thread like ths before...great fun.
Okay for me is is vintage slide rules, always one in my pocket and on my desk at my day job.
Vintage manual typewriters. I love pecking away and while not a wrtier in any sense it helps me to pound out thoughts and ideas....kind of a physical/mental therapy. probably a dozen typewriters here from 1030 to 1950 vintage. one may even see a small website for these coming soon...www.theqwertyshop.com
And fountian pens, 52 of them on display at the moment, 4 always inked and with me. Your never catch me with a ballpoint.

I definitely have fishing gear AD. More recently Fly fishing gear. Good thing Fly fishing can get pricey fast, at around $600 per rod, who knows what I'd have if I had more money to burn. I hope I can keep the RAD down to a minimum. I've had my eye on a new Loomis rod...my initial shaving kit has postponed the purchase.
