What other AD's do you have?
A co-worker of mine is a techno-geek. We laugh at each other, our hobbies are at either end of the spectrum. I like the old, traditional way of doing things. I use vintage mechanical rangefinder cameras, process my own black and white film, and make wet prints in a darkroom. I write with a small collection of fountain pens, and I have a handful of mechanical watches.
In short order, these developed into what the corresponding forums call:
Camera GAS (gear acquisition syndrome)
Pen Acquisiton Disorder and
I became a WIS (Watch Idiot Savant)
What are your non-shaving related AD's?

Kitchen Knife AD and CookBook AD are my only other AD's active at the moment. My wife seems to be compleatly free of AD's (read minimalist) and I find that somewhat disquiting...

My ADs run toward OLD technology. Antique Railroad Pocket Watches. I suppose that would be ARPWAD.

Whisky Acquisition Disorder.
I like old scottish malt whisky.
I usually have between 5 - 10 open bottles of the high end stuff.
All cask strength and un-chillfiltered.
There is a shop nearby, of which the owner knows everybody who is anybody in the whisky business. He has all the special stuff you don't find in normal stores.
And he takes very low margins because selling whisky is his hobby
My wife also likes high end malt whisky, and it is the one luxury item we spend money on. Usually we live on the frugal side.
We go shopping twice a year for whisky, and we usually leave with about 7 or 8 bottles, totalling enough to buy a Livi.
In a couple of weeks time we will pick up a 17 yr old Glen Allachie, an 18 yr old Linkwood, and a 31 yr old Dalhuaine.
Those were on back-order for us. We will probably also pick up some other stuff as well.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I also buy lots of books.
Me and my wife try to read a lot (try, since we have 2 small kids) and 3 times per year there is a surplus book sale where publishers dump their left overs, so you can buy books for 2 euros instead of the normal 17 or 18 euros.
We usually leave there with 30 - 50 books.
The ones that I didn't really like get sold again afterwards, and the ones we like we keep. Most of it is in the atic now because we don't have enough room on the shelfs.
Together we probably have > 500 books.
I like fantasy and thrillers (spy, police, military) bestTil shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
