    It was slightly cloudy here, but I could still see it. Very cool. You can only imagine what people in the past must have thought when seeing this.

    It was clear here.... one of my friends took this pic... just awesome...

    kind of spooky tho... 100 years ago I would have been hiding under my bed...

    They were quite familiar with what an enclipse was 100 years ago.

    Are you considering the possibility that one hundred years ago you probably wouldn't have been very well read or something?

    Christopher Columbus used the predicted luner eclipse to convince a group of natives (I forget where) that his God was upset that they weren't feeding them anymore. He "prayed" during the eclipse and told the natives that his God would spare them as long as they kept feeding the Columbus exploration party. They weren't happy about it but they obliged.

    We had a cloudy day all day which cleared up just enough to watch the eclipse and then it clouded over again immediately. Lucky and beautiful.
