JohnP, you're asleep at the wheel. I can't even begin to deconstruct the mass of your fallacious thinking. In friendship I ask you to please do yourself a favour and visit the Critical Thinking link in my signature. Do it out of spite if you must. Do it and lie about having done it if you want. I know you can benefit from some of the information and ideas presented there. I remain optimistic that you are not afraid to take up that simple challenge.
I leave you with a saying which has impacted me. I don't know if it's Confucius or not, but I'm sure it's Chinese:
The fool may always be heard talking while the sage sits in silence.
Peace to you.

Ever the thoughtful one X, and if I may, I would like to add another saying:
"Those who believe in nothing can be made to believe in anything."
Good night all!
And thank you JohnP for being agile in mind enough to be able to verbally joust with the windmill of this thread, namely K P

Well, Mark ... I guess it couldn't hurt you either. I think I'll spend some more time there myself.

Maybe we're a little closer to the changes here, but the facts are increasingly conclusive. Here's a very dramatic example. It should be noted that nothing like this has been recorded nor is there evidence that it has ever occurred, which doesn't mean that it never has, but that it is certainly very rare. The ice shelves are diminishing at an unprecedented rate. Global warming is happening.

Thanked: 79X,
and again, I'll state please read what my posts actually say. You are trying to "convince" me of something I have not denied occurs. For that matter, I've not stated one way or the other. Of course ice shelves fall into the ocean and that sort of thing. What has *not* been established, in my opinion, is that it is due directly to man-made CO2 emissions, vice other IMHO equally viable theories with just as much science(and scientists) if not as much politics behind them. Just because the sky is falling (or isn't) doesn't mean the government needs another bureaucracy and reason to tax us to death; and while I appreciate your link, I do not need to be educated in the ability to make up my own mind.....but thanks all the same...
Well, take care folks, I'm away for awhile except for a quick visit here and there, (on detachment) this one's been interesting.
